Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy

Eurofins Nanolab Technologies offers its customers Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) services.  Whether you are seeking to speed time-to-market, solve manufacturing problems or ensure regulatory compliance turn to Eurofins. We know how to bring the power of science to every phase of your product lifecycle.

Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS or EDX) Analysis provides elemental analysis of a sample inside a SEM, TEM or FIB, and can gather accurate data at the micro and nanoscales.

With ~130 eV energy resolution, the system is sensitive to high-Z elements, and can almost cover the complete periodic table. Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy can provide elemental composition of individual points, line scans or to map out the lateral distribution of elements from the imaged area.

The Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy technique is very useful for taking a quick look at a materials whilst imaging to determine the elemental composition of individual points, line scans or to map out the lateral distribution of elements from the sample.

Learn the basics of TEM-based EDS and EELS, their respective benefits and limits, and cover a series of application case studies.
